Rodrigo offers legal counsel in complex matters related to arbitration, litigation, bankruptcy, administrative proceedings and class actions. He has solid experience in numerous types of arbitration including: commercial, investor-state and public-works. Rodrigo has been involved in various high profile international arbitrations, both as counsel as well as assisting arbitral tribunals. His expertise encompasses all issues related to the analysis of cases, development of strategies, preparation and elaboration of claims and answers to complaints, preparation and presentation of evidence, as well as procedures related to the nullity and enforcement of arbitral awards. In litigation, he has thorough knowledge working with foreign and Mexican clients on both a local and federal level in all stages of a case including the planning, negotiation period as well as in the implementation of multifaceted litigation strategies to allow his clients to meet their goals. He has thorough experience in obtaining and challenging interim measures in civil, commercial, bankruptcy and arbitral proceedings. In bankruptcy he has advised both companies declared bankrupt and creditors in some of the most important bankruptcy proceedings in Mexico. Furthermore his practice extends to sophisticated shareholders’ disputes, minority shareholders’ rights in public and private corporations, corporate governance, real estate disputes and contractual matters.
