He counts with more than 20 years of experience counseling inventors in regards to the preparation of patent applications in the areas of chemistry, pharmaceutical chemistry, petrochemical chemistry and mechanics. He is an expert in the prosecution of Mexican patent applications, utility models and industrial design applications. He elaborates strategic plans for clients and replies to all office actions and holds meetings with officers from the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (IMPI) with whom he has a close professional relationship. Furthermore, he conducts patentability searches, infringement searches, clearance searches and patent family searches. He also prepares patentability opinion letters for new inventions and non-infringement and validity opinion letters of Mexican patents. He assists clients in filing international PCT applications as well as filing and prosecution in the foreign or PCT national stage. Additionally, he counsels clients on patent portfolios, patent infringement and patent nullity actions. He has practiced in the intellectual property field from 1993 to 1999 as Patent Examiner of the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property, and as Patent Associate for Von Wobeser y Sierra, S. C. from 1999 to date.
